Product description
The pressure plate of the clutch is installed on the flywheel of the engine and rotates together with the engine; the driven plate (that is, the friction plate) is splined with the input shaft of the gearbox through the spline groove. When the friction plate rotates, the input shaft of the gearbox follows. When the pressure plate presses on the driven plate under the action of the spring, the power is transmitted; when the pressure plate returns to the position when the clutch pedal is depressed, the driven plate has no force, which is the separation state. ; If the clutch is lightly depressed and the pressure plate spring does not have full effect, this is a semi-clutch, also called semi-linkage.
Inspection method of clutch driven plate
(1) Detect the wear amount of the driven disk friction plate
Use a caliper to measure the depth of the rivet head and detect the wear of the friction plate. If the depth is less than 0.3mm, the wear is serious and the friction plate needs to be replaced.
(2) Detect the deformation of the driven plate
The degree of deformation can be confirmed by the deflection of the driven plate. Use a dial indicator to measure the outer circumference of the driven plate and confirm that the end face circular runout is less than 0.4mm. If the end face circular runout exceeds 0.4mm, use a wrench to correct the driven plate or replace the driven plate assembly. This may cause clutch vibration when starting, incomplete clutch disengagement, and difficulty in shifting gears.
(3) Check the connection condition between the driven plate steel plate and the wheel hub.
You can check by tapping it with a hammer, but if the rivet is loose or damaged, you'll need to replace it.
(4) Check the alignment gap between the driven plate spline sleeve and the gearbox input shaft spline shaft.
If the gap is too large, it will affect the sound when starting or suddenly shifting gears. During the inspection, the spline shaft of the driven plate was connected to the single-axis spline of the gearbox, and the driven plate was moved back and forth by hand, but no obvious play was found. If the tooth surface clearance exceeds 0.16mm, the driven plate will be damaged and the hub or transmission input shaft will need to be replaced.
